Poland has accepted the completion of the Nord Stream-2 construction

A spokesman for the Polish government, Piotr Müller, said that the country's authorities have finally admitted that the completion of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is a settled issue.

As you know, Poland still does not agree with the implementation of the project, and expresses its regret that other countries did not join the attempts to block the construction of the gas pipeline.

«Unfortunately, Germany has once again violated the principles of energy solidarity, and an attempt to blockade without European solidarity is extremely difficult,» said a representative of the Polish government.

Earlier, Germany and the United States published a joint statement on measures to support Ukraine, European energy security and common goals for climate protection. The countries said that it is in the interests of Europe and Ukraine to continue the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine after 2024, for up to 10 years. Germany also announced its readiness to impose sanctions on Russia if it uses energy as a weapon against European countries.
