The Mexican economy bounced off in the last quarter of 2017 as it was pushed higher by the construction following the destructive earthquake that hampered the activity for the third quarter, according to the Reuters survey on Monday.
Six analysts presumed the gross domestic product (GDP) to have increased by 0.6 percent in the last quarter compared to the previously recorded decrease of 0.3 percent.
The economy grew by 1.7 percent year-on-year, based on the median forecast of eleven analysts.
Also, reports showed that economy rose by 2.3 percent this year contrasted with 2.1 percent last year.
Data of the preliminary estimate of GDP for the fourth quarter from the Mexican national statistics agency will be released at 0800 a.m. (1400 GMT) on Tuesday. Final statistics will be publicized on February 23.
