Holiday dinners promise $5.4 billion in revenue for the restaurant business. Flowers remain the most popular gift: Americans will spend $2.9 billion on bouquets. Another $2.5 billion will be allocated for sweets such as chocolates. Postcards also remain relevant – about 145 million of them are exchanged annually, and this year they will bring in $1.4 billion. In the UK, 61% of the population, or 32.7 million people, will celebrate Valentine's Day. Their expenses are projected to amount to 1.5 billion pounds, which is equivalent to 52 pounds per person. This is a significant increase compared to 2021, when only 926 thousand pounds were spent.
