The rapprochement with China, according to experts, can also be seen as a demonstration of India's independence in response to the actions of US President Donald Trump. However, this does not mean full agreement with Beijing, as key contradictions between the countries remain. The border dispute remains a source of tension. The line of actual control in the Himalayas has not been demarcated, which led to armed clashes in Eastern Ladakh in 2020. Later, a mutual withdrawal of troops began, achieved through negotiations.
