China has announced its intention to take retaliatory measures to double the US duties from 10% to 20%. The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China expressed disagreement with such actions, calling them a violation of trade norms and an act of intimidation. China emphasized its strict anti-drug policy and success in cooperation with the United States. Significant changes are taking place in the oilfield services market caused by a decrease in hydrocarbon production and a lack of demand growth. Experts suggest that such trends may lead to increased concentration of the Russian market around the largest companies, as well as to an increase in the role of service units belonging to vertically integrated oil corporations. BRICS sees its unification not as a counterweight to the West, but as a search for new ways to meet current trends.
