The non-oil exports from Singapore rose at a quicker rate than anticipated for October since there has been more demand from China. Statistically, non-oil exports climbed to 20.9 percent year-on-year for October as stated from the International Enterprise Singapore data. This has been greater than the economic forecasts of 10 percent growth from Reuters. The data increased following a decline of 1.1 percent in September. Trades to China being the biggest export market in Southeast Asia soared by 53.3 percent while shipments bound to the European Union grew by 26.1 percent. On the other hand, electronic exports advanced by 4.5 percent. On a monthly basis, non-oil exports increased by 12.5 percent exceeding the forecast of 5.1 percent growth.
