Analysts' forecasts generally coincided with the actual figures – they predicted price growth of 2.8% y/y and 0.7% m/m. Inflation, calculated by German standards, was 2.6% y/y in December, an increase of 0.5% compared with November. Experts expected growth of 2.6% y/y and 0.4% m/m.
