 
                                                                                    
                                 Inflation in Germany in December 2024, calculated according to EU standards, was 2.8% year-on-year, indicating a slight acceleration compared to the previous month, when the indicator was 2.4%. The data was published by the Federal Statistical Office of the country.  Compared to the previous month, consumer prices increased by 0.7%.  In November, there was a decrease of 0.7%. Analysts' forecasts generally coincided with the actual figures – they predicted price growth of 2.8% y/y and 0.7% m/m. Inflation, calculated by German standards, was 2.6% y/y in December, an increase of 0.5% compared with November. Experts expected growth of 2.6% y/y and 0.4% m/m.
