The trade talks between US and China were again in limbo, as the parties still disagree on a number of important issues. So, Beijing is against including the exact amount of purchased agricultural commodities in the text of the agreement on the first stage of trade dispute. As previously stated, US President Donald Trump said that, in accordance with the agreements reached, China will purchase agricultural products worth up to $50 billion a year. Chinese government would like to avoid signing an agreement that could turn out to be more beneficial for the United States than for China, and would like to have some space to maneuver in case of further deterioration in relations with the United States. Another matter of dispute is the date and the size of abolition of previously imposed duties on Chinese goods. This is one of the key requirements of China, but American side has been slow in giving details on the issue.
