Мексиканская госкомпания Pemex застраховалась от снижения цены на нефть до 42-37 долларов за баррель на $133,5 млн.

Власти Мексики страхуются от падения нефтяных котировок с 1990 года, обычно выплаты по страховке поступают в бюджет страны, однако последнее соглашение должно защитить финансовый баланс самой нефтяной компании. В первый раз за 11 лет Pemex ввела собственную программу хеджирования.

Сроки страховки – с мая по декабрь 2017 года, наиболее вероятный диапазон цен – $37-$42, застрахованный объем добычи – 409 тыс. баррелей нефти. Максимальные выплаты госкомпания получит в случае падения цены за баррель нефти ниже $37.

Мексика получила $2,65 млрд страховых выплат за 2016 год, $6,3 млрд – за 2015-й. В прошлом году власти Мексики застраховались от падения нефтяных котировок в 2017 году на более чем $1 млрд.
