Курс единой европейской валюты оказался под давлением после выступления президента ЕЦБ Марио Драги.

Индекс EUR, показывающий силу евро относительно корзины шести основных мировых валют, закрепился ниже уровня 95.00 и торгуется в области минимумов за последние три месяца.

Глава ЕЦБ во вторник высказался в поддержку дополнительного снижения ставок, что сильно контрастирует с попытками главы ФРС США Джерома Пауэлла нормализовать кредитно-денежную политику путем повышения ставок.

Кроме того, Драги говорил о возможности покупок секьюритизированных активов на баланс ЕЦБ, если инфляция не достигнет целевого уровня

Европейский регулятор прогнозирует «сохраняющуюся мягкость» в краткосрочной перспективе из-за геополитических факторов и торговых конфликтов, которые оказывают негативное влияние на экспорт и производственный сектор – два основных источника экономического роста в зоне евро.
