Аналитики Bank of America полагают, что в ближайшее время может повториться мировой финансового кризиса 1997-1998 годов.

Эксперты банка считают, что существующее тенденции на мировых рынках сигнализируют об угрозе повторения финансового кризиса. Так динамика фондовых индексов сопоставима с периодом, предшествующим событиям 1998 года, когда в России произошел дефолт, а в Азиатском регионе – экономический кризис.

Аналитика Bank of America Майкла Хартнетт заметил, что устойчивый рост в Соединенных Штатах и сглаживание кривой доходности государственных облигаций

на фоне падения рынков развивающихся стран напоминает ситуацию 1998 года.

Кроме того, 20 лет назад американский регулятор также проводил жесткую экономическую политика, которая способствовала к укреплению доллара США, а рынки развивающихся переживали спад.
