Великобритания разочарована торговой политикой США

Премьер-министр Великобритании Тереза Мэй заявила президенту США Дональду Трампу, что решение ввести пошлины на сталь и алюминий неоправданно.

В телефонном разговоре Т. Мэй подчеркнула, что США, Великобритания и Евросоюз – близкие союзники и партнеры, которые всегда признавали важную роль открытой мировой торговли, поэтому введение пошлин представляется абсолютно «необоснованным и глубоко разочаровывающим» решением.

Кроме того, Т. Мэй напомнила о необходимости защищать рабочие места.

Ранее, 2 июня, министры финансов и главы центробанков шести стран G7 также негативно оценили введение пошлин на импорт стали и алюминия со стороны США, подчеркнув односторонний характер указанных мер.
