Венесуэла ввела госуправление над крупнейшим частным банком страны

Правительство Венесуэлы взяло под контроль на 90 дней крупнейший частный банк страны – Banesco Banco Universal C.A. – после задержания руководителей компании по подозрению в проведении противозаконных операций с валютой.

Вице-президент по финансовым и экономическим вопросам Венесуэлы Вильмар Кастро Сотельдо заявил, что действия правительства продиктованы необходимостью обеспечить дальнейшее функционирование банка, чтобы он мог продолжать в полном объеме оказание услуг населению.

Ранее прокуратура Венесуэлы задержала 11 руководителей банка Banesco, которых подозревают в проведении нелегальных операций с национальной валютой. Глава
Banesco Хуан Карлос Эскотет направился в Венесуэлу, чтобы добиться освобождения сотрудников. Президент банка намерен сдаться властям страны в обмен на их освобождение.

Правительство передало руководство банком административному совету во главе с заместителем министра финансов Венесуэлы.
