Банк Литвы выпустит коллекционную криптовалюту

Банк Литвы намерен в 2018 году выпустить первую в мире коллекционную криптовалюту.

Монета будет функционировать на базе блокчейна или аналогичной технологии. В мае регулятор проведет специальный форум, на который пригласит ведущих IT-специалистов, чтобы найти технологическое решение для реализации проекта.

Член правления Банка Литвы Мариус Юргилас заявил, что выпуск коллекционной криптовалюты приурочен к столетнему юбилею восстановления государственности Литвы и открывает «новые рубежи в нумизматике».

Ранее литовский регулятор сообщал о планах создания  блокчейн-платформы LBChain, чтобы проводить исследования в отрасли и тестировать услуги на основе технологии блокчейн в финансовом секторе. Старт проекта запланирован на 2019 год.
