Правительство Японии предложило парламенту страны назначить Харухико Куроду на пост главы Банка Японии на второй пятилетний срок.

Если члены японского парламента проголосуют за Куроду, он станет первым главой Центробанка страны, избранным на второй срок за последние 53 года. Ранее пост главы Банка Японии два срока подряд с 1956 по 1964 год занимал Масааки Ширакава.

Харухико Курода является главной Банка Японии с 2013 года. По мнению аналитиков, предложение правительства о повторном выдвижении означает желание властей продолжить курс сверхмягкой монетарной политики, чтобы достичь повышения роста инфляции до 2%.
