Shares of Mynaric, Rocket Lab, Momentus, Intuitive Machines, Planet and Sidus rose by 20% or more. Redwire stood out in particular, with shares rising 51.4% after announcing the acquisition of Edge Autonomy for $1 billion and revenue forecast to reach $605 million in 2025. Viasat also saw a 32.9% increase thanks to NASA's five-year, $4.8 billion contract for the Near Space Network satellite network. In his speech, Trump casually mentioned space, expressing his desire to send astronauts to Mars. Since the election, the shares of companies in the sector have significantly strengthened, in some cases doubling in three months. Analysts identify three key factors that influenced this growth: the appointment of Jared Isaacman as head of NASA, the activity of private investors in the market, and expectations of large government contracts. In 2024, Intuitive Machines shares increased by 779%, Redwire – by 715%, AST SpaceMobile — by 648%, Rocket Lab – by 543%.
