Wood claims that DeepMind has played a key role in the development of Google, doing research in the fields of robotics, deep learning and neuroscience. Among the company's outstanding achievements is the development of AlphaFold, a system capable of predicting three–dimensional protein structures. In addition, Alphabet, Google's parent company, recently announced its intention to merge DeepMind with Google's research group, known as Brain.
