Wall street quieted down in anticipation of the debate

The U.S. stock market is consolidating after two days of gains awaiting the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and his Democrat major opponent Joe Biden at 9:00 pm ET (01:00 GMT) today. Investors also took a wait and see attitude ahead of a significant event.


The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 0.4% to 27.461 points. The S&P 500 fell 0.3% to 3.340.50 while the Nasdaq Composite fell to 11.065 points.


The experts note that the most important issue remains the fiscal policy in the United States, and it is this topic that candidates should pay maximum attention to.
