Европейские акции активно торгуются в начале недели после сообщения о банкротстве Thomas Cook, одного из старейших и крупнейших туристических агентств Великобритании.

За последнее десятилетие у Thomas Cook накопился огромный долг. В этом году политический кризис в Турции, а также аномально жаркая погода в Европе вызвали кризис компании.

Руководство попросила финансовой помощи у правительства Бориса Джонсона, но получили отказ.

Thomas Cook приостановила все операции, в результате более полумиллиона британских туристов застряли за границей. Теперь правительство Соединенного Королевства коррдинирует процесс возвращения туристов домой.

Акции авиакомпаний NewsJet и Washington Air существенно прибавили в цене после сообщений о банкротстве Thomas Cook.
