На торгах в понедельник, 13 августа, курс золота относительно доллара США достиг минимальных значений с 10 марта 2017 года, опустившись до отметки 1194,72 и пытается закрепиться на уровне $1200 за тройскую унцию.

Стоимость золота падает на фоне сильного укрепления доллара США. Индекс, показывающий силу доллара США относительно шести основных мировых валют, в ходе сегодняшних торгов достиг годового максимума, тогда как евро торгуется у минимума с июля 2017 года.

При этом эксперты прогнозируют, что к концу текущего года цена на золото может вернуться к $1300 за тройскую унцию, поскольку ожидается рост спроса со стороны Китая. Председатель Всемирного золотого совета Дэвид Харкуэйл полагает, что рост потребления золота в КНР продолжится и может достичь 30% от глобального предложения золота в виде ювелирных изделий.
