Генеральный директор европейской ассоциации стали Eurofer Аксель Эггерт считает, что поставки стальной продукции из стран Евросоюза в США могут сократиться на 50% из-за введения пошлин.

Глава Eurofer заявил, что, согласно экспертным оценкам, экспорт стали снизится примерно на 50%. Он отметил, что окончательная цифра будет зависеть от цен на сталь на американском рынке, поскольку чем выше цена, тем проще европейские поставщики смогут преодолеть негативный эффект от введения пошлин.

Экспорт стальной продукции из стран ЕС может снизиться примерно на 2,5 млн тонн, которые либо уйдут на европейский рынок, либо придется сокращать производство. В любом случае, будет оказано сильное давление на рынок ЕС.

По словам Ак. Эггерта, в текущих условиях найти новые выгодные рынки сбыта стальной продукции за пределами Евросоюза будет проблематично.
