Представители Китая инициировали разбирательство во Всемирной торговой организации из-за повышения Соединенными Штатами таможенных пошлин на импорт товаров из КНР.

Ранее, 15 июня, власти США объявили о введении пошлин в размере 25% на ввоз товаров из Китая на сумму $50 млрд в год. В ответ правительство КНР уже на следующий день сообщила об аналогичных контрмерах.

Таможенные пошлины между США и КНР вступили в силу 6 июля. США ввели пошлину в 25% на ввоз 818 товаров из Китая объемом $34 млрд ежегодно, Китай ввел сопоставимую пошлину в 25% на импорт американских товаров.
