Эксперты международного валютного фонда полагают, что выход Великобритании из состава Евросоюза окажет незначительное негативное влияние на экономику региона, при этом сильнее других пострадают страны, имеющие близкие связи с Соединенным Королевством: Ирландия, Нидерланды и Бельгия.

Согласно исследованию МВФ, Великобритания пострадает больше, чем остальные страны ЕС, однако разрушение торговых, финансовых и миграционных плохо отразится на экономике региона в целом.

Замглавы Европейского департамента МВФ Махмуд Прадхан также отметил, что обеспокоенность по поводу Brexit нарастает, поскольку сроки приближаются, но окончательной ясности по данному вопросу нет.
