Дания избавится от валютных долгов впервые с 1894 года

Центральный банк Дании объявил, что впервые с 1894 года страна останется без внешних долгов, выплатив сегодня последний кредит на сумму полтора миллиарда долларов. Достичь этого удалось путем постепенного погашения заимствованных ранее средств без формирования новых долговых обязательств. Первые заимствования иностранной валюты были произведены еще в 1757 году, когда Дания привлекла 500 тысяч ригсдалеров (прежняя датская валюта) у Германии и Нидерландов. 

Однако выплата данного внешнего кредита не означает, что Дания не имеет более правительственных долгов. Это означает, что все задолженности страны теперь номинированы в датских кронах. Внешний долг Дании на конец 2016 года составлял 635 млрд крон (порядка $92 млрд).
