Эпидемия коронавируса в Китае остается самой обсуждаемой новостью в мировых СМИ. Если ранее сообщалось, что нынешний вирус не так смертоносен и опасен как эпидемия атипичной пневмонии (SARS) в 2002-2003 годах, то сейчас число умерших от коронавируса достигло 813 человек и превысило статистику по SARS.

Кроме того, Всемирная организация здравоохранения заподозрила правительство КНР в умышленном искажении данных с снижения серьезности ситуации в глазах остального мира. Согласно последней гипотезе, человек, инфицированный коронавирусом, заразен в первые 24 дня, а не 14, как считалось ранее.

Несмотря на эпидемию китайские длинные новогодние праздники официально закончились, а предприятия вновь открываются. Тем не менее, многие компании, особенно иностранные, останутся закрытыми или будут работать на минимальных мощностях, чтобы уменьшить риски заражения сотрудников.

Таким образом, экономика по-прежнему будет испытывать негативное влияние от эпидемии, при этом китайские фондовый рынок понемногу восстанавливается. На торгах в понедельник, 10 февраля, индекс шанхайской биржи Shanghai Composite (SSEC) подорожал на 0,51%, до 2.890,49 пунктов, максимума с начала февраля.
