Участники рынка позитивно восприняли результаты голосования в парламент Великобритании, поскольку обрели уверенность в том, что Brexit произойдет 31 января 2020 года без дальнейших задержек. Однако поправки Бориса Джонсона к законопроекту оказали негативное давление на курс фунта.

Премьер-министр Великобритании решил сократить переходный период до конца 2020 года. Теперь инвесторы сомневаются в том, что полномасштабный договор о торговле между Соединенным Королевством и оставшимися странами-членами ЕС может быть заключен за такой короткий срок.

Фунт стерлингов подешевел до минимума с начала месяца по отношению к доллару США, опустившись ниже ключевого уровня 1.3000.
