Глава Федерального резервного банка Сент-Луиса Джеймс Буллард заявил, что ФРС США не будет каждый раз повышать ставки, чтобы стабилизировать волнения на рынке, которые вызывает торговое противостояние США и Китая.

Буллард полагает, что Федрезерв не способен и не должен реагировать на каждую угрозу и ответное действие в рамках торгового конфликта, поскольку это таит в себе опасность для будущего всей мировой экономики.

Кроме того, по мнению чиновника, американский Центробанк уже адаптировался к текущей ситуации, а экономика страны до сих пор приспосабливается к смягчению кредитно-денежной политики, которое было проведено на последнем заседании ФРС.

Ранее Буллард активно призывал своих коллег из ФРС к снижению ставок, поэтому его «ястребиное» выступление сейчас является сигналом Белому дому о том, что регулятор намерен дистанцироваться от торговой войны и готов противостоять давлению со стороны Дональда Трампа.
