The world of cryptocurrencies continues to attract millionaires and even billionaires. According to a study by the Crypto Wealth Report of Henley&Partners, in 12 months the number of people owning cryptocurrencies worth over $ 1 million increased by 95%, reaching 172.3 thousand people as of the end of June 2024. Bitcoin, as always, is in the lead. The number of bitcoin millionaires increased by 111%, reaching 85 thousand people. And cryptomillionaires have increased by 6 over the past year, now their total number is 28. «Five out of six new cryptomillionaires have increased their wealth at the expense of bitcoins, which indicates the dominant role of this cryptocurrency in attracting long-term investors buying large assets,» said New World Wealth analyst Andrew Emoyles. And he's right: bitcoin has increased in price almost 2.4 times in a year, from $26.1 thousand to $62.5 thousand currently. The largest cryptocurrency portfolios amount to $100 million or more, their number also increased by 79% over the year, reaching 325.
