Министр транспорта Индии Нитин Гадкари заявил, что стране угрожает «экономический кризис» из-за высокой зависимости от импорта нефти.

Индия является третьим в мире импортером нефти, страна ввозит более 80% от всего потребляемого сырья.

На фоне рекордного за последние 4 года подорожания нефти, Индия изучает пути сокращения объёмов закупки «черного золота».

При этом национальная валюта – индийская рупия – показывает в этом году наихудшие показатели в азиатском регионе, подешевев относительно доллара США на 13%.
