Власти КНДР готовы отказаться от запланированной встречи лидера страны Ким Чен Ына и президента США Дональда Трампа, если американская сторона рассчитывает на уничтожение ядерного оружия в одностороннем порядке. 

16 мая Пхеньян отменил переговоры на высшем уровне с Сеулом после проведения совместных учений ВВС США и Южной Кореи, которые были расценены как репетиция вторжения в Северную Корею.

Кроме того, переговоры между США и КНДР зависят от позиции Вашингтона: Пхеньян опасается, что речь идет о разоружении в «ливийском стиле».

Власти КНДР подчеркнули, что намерены добиваться денуклеаризации Корейского полуострова, если будет прекращена «враждебная политика и шантаж со стороны США».

Ранее власти Северной Кореи объявили о закрытии испытательного полигона. Встреча лидеров США и КНДР в Сингапуре запланирована на 12 июня.

На фоне сообщений об отмене переговоров азиатские фондовые биржи снизились.
