Премьер-министр Канады Джастин Трюдо в своем выступлении на Всемирном экономическом форуме в Давосе сообщил о достижении договоренности между 11 странами о проведении дальнейшей работы над модификацией соглашения о Транстихоокеанском торговом партнерстве (ТТП).


Канада и остальные 10 государств приняли решение объединиться в рамках нового прогрессивного партнерства. Дж. Трюдо подчеркнул, что новая сделка вполне отвечает интересам Канады и будет способствовать достижению важных экономических целей, таких как создание дополнительных рабочих мест и поддержка населения среднего класса. США не будут участвовать в новом тихоокеанском партнерстве.


Согласно данным агентства Associated Press, участвующие в пакте государства планируют подписать его к началу марта 2018 года. Напомним, Транстихоокеанское торговое партнерство было основано в октябре 2015 года и объединило 12 стран Азиатско-Тихоокеанского региона. В 2017 году Соединенные Штаты покинули ряды стран-участников партнерства.
