Доллар оказался под давлением после публикации протокола заседания американского Центробанка.

Сначала рынки негативно отреагировали на то, что президент США Дональд Трамп подписал законопроект, поддерживающий протестующих в Гонконге. Китай назвал это решение вопиющим вмешательством во внутренние дела страны и пообещал, что США получит негативные последствия.

Затем опубликованный протокол ФРС США дал понять, что чиновники договорились не менять монетарную политику, пока новые данные не приведут к переоценке экономического положения страны и перспектив развития.

При этом экономисты посчитали, что риски экономического спада достаточно высоки, поэтому может понадобится дальнейшее снижение ключевой ставки. Чиновники регулятора отметили снижение инвестиций и экспорта из-за «слабости глобального роста и высокой неопределенности в развитии торговли».
