Германский автоконцерн Volkswagen Konzern планирует инвестировать €70 млрд, чтобы занять лидирующее положение на рынке электромобилей.

Volkswagen планирует в период с 2018 по 2022 год сделать производство электромобилей лидирующим направлением деятельности компании и собирается существенно сократить производство автомобилей с двигателем внутреннего сгорания.

Также автопроизводитель намерен вложить порядка $12 млрд в производство экологичных авто в Китае. Ранее компания планировала к 2030 году инвестировать  более €20 млрд в развитие электротранспорта, чтобы сгладить последствия скандала с чрезмерным выхлопом от своих дизельных автомобилей.
