Astana is interested in exporting oil, gas and uranium to Slovakia, considering the prospects for cooperation in energy and mechanical engineering. This was stated by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at a briefing after a meeting with Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico. Tokayev noted Kazakhstan's readiness to supply various goods to Slovakia, including food, and stressed the existence of joint projects in the fields of energy, agriculture and digitalization. He also informed about more than 30 Slovak companies operating in Kazakhstan and expressed hope for the successful holding of the business forum. The President proposed to raise the level of the intergovernmental commission to the level of ministers. Fico confirmed Slovakia's readiness to cooperate in the nuclear energy and oil sectors, noting the possibility of using the Druzhba corridor for oil supplies through Russia and Belarus.
