His remarks regarding the work of Fed Chairman Jerome Powell, as well as the prospects for trade negotiations with China, reduced tensions in financial markets. In the morning, sentiment in the United States stabilized, which was facilitated by Trump clarifying his position. The president stressed that he was not considering the possibility of removing Powell from office, and also expressed his willingness to discuss with China the conditions for reducing tariffs at a significant level. These statements have become a key signal for market participants. Against the background of these events, the yield on long-term Treasury bonds decreased by more than 10 bps, reaching about 4.29%. At the same time, the futures of the S&P 500 index recorded an increase of several percent, reflecting an improvement in stock market sentiment. The rate on 30-year Treasury bonds fell by about 15 bps and amounted to 4.74% during morning trading. The yield on 2-year bonds also declined, dropping by about 3 bps to 3.8%.
