The consumer confidence index in France rose to 92.1 points in August, coinciding with market forecasts. In Italy, sales of manufactured goods decreased by 3.7% year-on-year in July. The volume of consumer loans issued in the eurozone increased by 0.5% in July, while the volume of loans issued to non—financial companies increased by 0.6%. The key indicator of the money supply (M3 aggregate) in the eurozone showed an annual growth of 2.3%. Important economic events await investors ahead: revised US GDP data (Thursday) and preliminary data on August inflation and July unemployment in the eurozone (Friday).
