Elon Musk, důvěrník prezidenta Trumpa a šéf Odboru pro efektivitu státní správy (DOGE), prozradil, že tým DOGE minulý týden zjistil, že Federální agentura pro řešení mimořádných událostí (FEMA) nezákonně převedla 59 milionů dolarů na luxusní hotely v New Yorku. Podle Muska je toto jednání v rozporu se zákonem a hrubě porušuje prezidentův dekret. V reakci na to Musk uvedl, že dnes bude zahájena žádost o navrácení zneužitých prostředků, označovaná jako clawback.
„Dnes bude podána žádost o zpětné získání těchto prostředků,“ dodal Musk.
