Generální ředitel společnosti Lufthansa Airlines Jens Ritter ve středu oznámil, že letecká společnost usiluje o to, aby se opět stala ziskovou, ačkoli ji čeká ještě mnoho práce. Navzdory pozitivnímu vývoji v posledních měsících není Lufthansa z hlediska ziskovosti ještě tam, kde by chtěla být. Hlavní značka Lufthansa Group se v současné době potýká s problémy. Aby tyto problémy vyřešila, zavedla letecká společnost restrukturalizační program, jehož cílem je snížit náklady a zvýšit tržby. Ve všech divizích společnosti bylo stanoveno více než 600 opatření, která mají společnost Lufthansa vrátit na správnou cestu.
